The botanical name of Cassia is Cinnamomum. That is also called Chinese cassia or Chinese cinnamon. This started in China and then it was cultivated in eastern and southern Asia. The buds are used as a spice especially in India and it was used in ancient Rome as well. Cassia fragrance is a spice obtained from the inner bark of many trees from the species Cinnamomum. This includes all varieties of evergreen trees which can be used in both sweet and savory foods. This confectionery industry uses it as a flavoring agent. It produces an ingredient in many curry recipes of India, Ceylon, and other southeast Asian countries.

During tests conducted on rats, it is said to alleviate stress-induced depressed behavior. It is used as an anti-inflammatory and immunologic drug. This is used to treat behavioral and mental problems especially disorders related to the frontal cortex and hippocampus. It is said to be a good blood-thinning agent and there is a high risk if it is taken in large doses. Some other toxins are also found in Cassia. This might be the reason that spices are always used a little in the dishes of India and spiced up dishes are not served every day. They are special dishes.

A Good Substitute For Cassia Oil

It is a yellow to yellow-brown clear oily liquid with a boiling point of 194-2340C. It has a density of 1.03 g/mL at 250C (lit.). This refractive index is n20/D 1.592 and it is insoluble. These other names of cassia nature-identical are Nature Identical, Cinnamon Oil, Imitation; Cinnamon Bark Oil; Cinnamon Bark Oil, Ceylon Type; Cinnamon Leaf Oil, Ceylon; Cinnamon Oil, Ceylon Type, Cassia; Cassia Oil; Fema. Each nature-identical is synthetically created to give the same result as the natural. Since the plants are not available in plenty and since the extraction process is costly, an alternative was thought of. These nature identical oils are 100% synthetic and there are a few naturals in it and therefore it is a better choice over synthetic oils. This cassia nature identical oil is cheaper and easily available.
